The Grassroots Endowment Match Challenge makes now an exciting time to give, to increase the value of your giving by up to 336% and to make a difference in local communities in East and North East London. Any donation that you make will be used to benefit local communities.
Alternatively, you can choose to support our work in general by contributing to our general East London Fund or, perhaps, to support one of the special interest funds that we aim to establish focusing on issues such as Youth, Elders and Health.
We can accept donations in cash or in other forms of assets such as shares and property.
We can help you make donations in a tax-effective manner. The simplest way for taxpayers to donate is by Standing Order or by Direct Debit using Gift Aid. This can increase any donation by 22%, providing us with a further £28 for every £100 you donate, at no extra cost to you. Higher rate taxpayers can even reclaim the difference between basic rate and higher rate tax through their personal tax allowances.
Donate your Tax Refund
If you have completed a self-assessment tax return and are due a repayment, you can choose to nominate the East London Community Foundation to receive this as a donation.
Donate through your Payroll
There is no restriction on the amount that can be given through the Payroll Giving scheme - up to an employee’s maximum taxable earnings - and every penny we receive from you will go towards supporting local people. The amount you choose to give is deducted from your salary before calculating Pay As You Earn (PAYE) tax. This way you automatically get tax relief on the value of donations at your top rate of tax. You can stop making a donation at any time.

Make a Donation On-Line
Do you want to help make a Big Difference to help local community groups in East London? If so, you can make a donation to ELCF on-line directly through The Big Give website. Your donation will then be doubled by our Grassroots Endowment Match Challenge and will make a Big Difference to local community groups and voluntary organisations in Barking & Dagenham, Haringey, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.
We help communities in London, particularly those in North East London, in Barking & Dagenham, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
